Description

Lots of logs and debris about Milford Sound but this stood out some what. In the 3 seconds it took to take this shot my shoes were wet from the crazy fast tide:omg:

Hard edge 0.9 GND filter used.

EDIT: curves and saturation with calibrated monitor

With the tree trunk in the foreground and the hills in the background this picture shows a really wide and lonely view.

This makes the audience feel very free and lonely. The trunk in the foreground atracks attention while the wideness of the water drags the attention away from it. This provokes an very interesting effect on how to look at this picture because you can either see it as the whole lonely one, or the detailed colored adventure one.

This keeps the audience looking at this picture and wondering about what about it is strange.

I think this is a picture that can be looked at very often and has to be looked at very long to really understand it.

I really like this small conflikt and I am till trying to figure out how to look at it the right way <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="=)" title="=) (Smile)" />

Very well done ! Hope your wet shoes are dry now <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="=)" title="=) (Smile)" />
