The last week has been brilliant for taking photos, mostly because of the cloud coverage which hung around. I took avantage and went to the beach with my camera
This was taken at Town Beach, Port Macquarie, Australia.
This photograph instantly brought back to me an old poem I had forgotten about by John Maesfield:
"I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying."
Well they're not white clouds--they're actually substantially better. But the rush of the sea-foam is there. I can almost taste the salt, and I can hear the soft rush of the water. Thank you for sharing this.
