Left the west coast a bit late and arrived in Motueka at night. No idea where we were but kept cruising around until we came across this big dark figure ashore! So stayed the night and got up for sunrise(like the 6th one on holiday!) to see a shipwreck:D I tried getting closer but the ground was trying to eat me... it all goes underwater by the looks and sinking!

HDR from a single RAW, GND8 used.

This photo is incredible! The ship dead center of the image works well.

When I first saw the photo it felt to me like there was too much foreground and cropped too much on the right. The sky is so dynamic that it seems the angle of the photo should have been closer to the ship and more of the sky. But this photo could go either way because the beach is equally as impressive. So I am torn between which would add the most impact.

I can only assume that deciding which 3rd the ship should be placed in was difficult so ended up in the center. This works well because the viewer can easily choose to focus on the beach and the ship, the sky and the ship, or just the ship.

This is truly a remarkable photo!

'Ruins And Dead Ends' by 'bleed-the-sky' is to start with, simply an utterly brilliant shot.

'bleed-the-sky' must have been very excited when he awoke to find this shipwreck. He rewarded his luck and himself with this fantastic photo.

I actually found this photo by browsing the past 24 hours most popular deviations and this certainly stood out.

There are many, many things that I find great about 'Ruins And Dead Ends'. For a start, the ship has been made to look beautiful and almost still functioning. The sky, horizon, angle and the very much sea like ground makes the ship look like it's floating.

The colours are spectacularly vibrant and beautiful. The way the light is captured also makes this shot brilliant. The shadowing and highlighted areas create a great sense of depth and mood.

Everything from the composition to the colours and overall feel to this photo are beautiful to the point of perfection. (Or not far off it.)

'bleed-the-sky', I'll take this moment to congratulate you on this capture. It's been an inspiration to me and by the looks of things, the same to many others. Thank you.

awesome shot, great hdr processing.

i just don't like watermarks like this one, you see, if someone wants to steal this image for example, in this resolution and use it, he will easily remove even this watermark in photoshop, so in my opinion if you want to use a watermark/signature use it in a more elegant way, it ruins the harmony my friend, it's a shame, because it's an incredible capture.

would love to include this image to my group :iconglobalphotos:

Thanks:) This is about as subtle as I'm willing to watermark my images at this resolution.
