Taken back in winter with my buddy who also got into the startrail craze [link]

Compiled from consecutive shots to equal an elapsed time of approx. 100 minutes - 200odd 30sec shots;)

Neatly done. I first thought I was looking at an lp record edited together with a tree. Only then I read the title, deciding this might get interesting.
And it got interesting.

I like the idea of not just shooting the stars, but to have the tree in it as well. It keeps the picture from growing plain and boring, though I think you could've done a more interesting job, even if it was by just looking for a more interesting tree.

Also am I curious about the image in colour, not just black and white. Not because I think it would look better, I have an idea what it might look like, it's just pure curiosity.

Thank you for the time you wanted to put into this, because the result looks really good, and truly is an addition to the deviant collection (:

Hey, this is kinda cool. Like the fact that you turned it black and white... I did it myself in a startrail, too:

I even shot a couple of planes. Hope you like it ;)

its pretty simple, so long as you have a remote shutter cable;) [link]

So in simple description: I only have to make many many many long exposure pictures of the same place and merge them together in Photoshop? :)

or you can buy a remote control to camera - then there's no limitation of shutter time (30 mins max defaultly) and you can take pictures not in seconds, but in hours (it depends on battery capacity etc.)

Amazing, I love that with the long exposures the tree is still sharp:)
